Lindsay Stalzer

Personal: Stalzer graduated from Bradley with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Beyond her volleyball career, she is an outdoor enthusiast and an avid mountain biker. She also has a passion for cooking and has achieved the status of a former state champion in the high jump. Her adventurous spirit has taken her to live and play volleyball in an impressive 12 different countries.

2022 Season: Stalzer showcased her prowess by accumulating a total of 2,604 leaderboard points while participating in all 46 sets during her second season with Athletes Unlimited. Her standout performances included four matches where she accumulated 200 or more points, featuring back-to-back 300-point efforts in Week Four. Throughout the season, she claimed the fourth position in the league with 157 kills, all while ranking third with 526 attack attempts. Her hitting percentage for the season stood at .177 across 15 matches. Notably, she tied for fifth in the league with 11 service aces and recorded two aces in three matches. Defensively, she made her presence felt with 327 reception attempts, ranking second in AU. In 10 matches, she had 20 or more reception attempts, with a season-high of 38 attempts against Team De La Cruz on April 6. To cap off her remarkable season, Stalzer displayed double-digit kill efforts in six of her final eight matches, including a career-high 17 kills against Team Sheilla on April 1. This season also witnessed eight matches where she secured 10 or more kills. One of her standout moments was an exceptional .462 hitting percentage with 12 kills and zero errors in 26 attempts against Team Valentin-Anderson in Week Four. This performance, coupled with seven digs, earned her a season-high 372 leaderboard points. She achieved her lone double-double of the season against Team Drews on April 8, contributing 12 kills and 13 digs to finish with 353 leaderboard points. Furthermore, she notched 12 kills against Team Drews in a victory on March 25, earning 234 leaderboard points. Her season debut in Week One saw her securing 13 kills against Team De La Cruz, nearly notching a double-double with nine digs.

2021 Season: Stalzer made her presence felt by participating in 43 sets across 15 matches during the inaugural season. She closed the season with 2,745 points, ranking 12th on the leaderboard. Throughout the season, she recorded five matches with 10 or more digs, with a season-high of 13 digs in the season finale, where she also contributed eight kills against Team Lowe on March 29. Notably, Stalzer added 10 digs and seven kills in Week Five against Team Larson. The season opened with back-to-back 10-dig performances against Team Nwanebu and Team Edmond, while she achieved a season-high .380 hitting percentage with nine kills against Team Lowe on March 7.

Other Professional Experience: Stalzer boasts a rich history of playing professionally since 2006. Her journey includes stints with teams like Property Gallery Apollon in Cyprus and F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in the Philippines during the 2022-23 season. Her illustrious career features three Philippine Grand Prix championships, a victory in the 2017 Indonesian Proliga with Jakarta Elektrik, and a 2016 Finnish League title with HPK Naiset. She has also claimed the Slovenian League Championship with Nova KBM and boasts three MVP awards, including the recognition as the best Outside Hitter in 2014.

At Bradley: Stalzer was a four-year letter winner at Bradley from 2002-2005, where she left an indelible mark. She is tied for eighth in program history with 123 career matches and stands as the Braves’ all-time leader with an impressive 1,948 career kills. Stalzer is a three-time First-Team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection and was honored as the 2005 MVC Player of the Year. Her contributions earned her a place in the MVC All-Centennial Team, and she was twice selected to the MVC All-Tournament Team. Notably, she was recognized as the 2002 MVC Newcomer of the Year. Her college career included registering 92 matches with 10 or more kills, an astonishing 39 occasions with 20 or more kills, and a school-record 142 career aces. In terms of blocks, she stands fourth in program history with 387 career total blocks. One of her standout achievements includes setting a school single-season record with 720 kills in 32 matches during her senior season in 2005. Her remarkable season featured 31 matches with 10 or more kills, including 25 appearances with 20 or more kills. She consistently led Bradley in kills during three of her four seasons and holds the school single-match record with 36 kills against DePaul on September 27, 2005—a record that also ranks second in MVC history. Notably, she achieved the remarkable feat of amassing 30 or more kills in a match on three occasions. Furthermore, she fashioned a school-record .867 hitting percentage at Indiana State on September 14, 2002, posting 13 kills with no errors on 15 attempts. Her contributions to Bradley's volleyball program were celebrated when she was inducted into the Bradley Athletics Hall of Fame on December 29, 2016.
