Bethania de la Cruz leads Supernovas to first win in Week 2 of the PVF

The Omaha Supernovas earned their first win in franchise history on Saturday, led by 2022 Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball Champion Bethania de la Cruz.

The Supernovas dominated in their second match, sweeping the San Diego Mojo in sets 25-17, 25-19, 25-22.

De La Cruz was the cornerstone of the offense, leading the match with 13 kills. Just as impressive was how efficient De La Cruz was, with only one error on 27 attempts for a .444 hitting percentage.

Middle blocker Tori Dixon was also a major contributor, hitting .545 on the night with two kills per set and three blocks.

Upcoming

Omaha has two upcoming matches this week, hosting the Vegas Thrill at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on Wednesday and traveling to face the Grand Rapid Rise on Monday.

Wednesday’s match will be the season opener for the Thrill as AU athletes Alisha ChildressSaskia Hippe, and Molly McCage make their PVF debut.
