2023 Champion Leah Edmond, Alli Linnehan shine in PVF Week 1
The Pro Volleyball Federation launched its inaugural season last week and Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball athletes were the history makers and top performers.
2024 AU Pro Volleyball Champion Leah Edmond headlined as the top performer in Week 1.
The league began with Edmond and the Atlanta Vibe playing the Omaha Supernovas in front of a crowd of 11,624 at CHI Health Center in Omaha. The match was a 5-set thriller with some of the biggest moments coming from AU Pro Volleyball athletes.
Atlanta outside hitter and 2024 AU medalist Alli Linnehan recorded a pair of kills to start the match, recording the first points in league history. Edmond paced the team with 27 kills on 70 attempts with only seven errors.
In the fifth set, Atlanta held a 14-13 lead over the Supernovas and a cross-court shot from Edmond secured her team the first victory in history. In the three matches so far, Edmond’s 27-kill outing is the most of any hitter this season.

Linnehan was the other offensive go-to for the Vibe, rounding out with 16 digs, 13 kills, two blocks, and an ace on Wednesday night.
Atlanta continued their opening week heading to Orlando to take on the Valkyries, where three AU Pro Volleyball athletes split the offensive load.
Edmond, outside hitter Yossiana Pressley, and middle blocker Karis Watson each had 10 kills. Watson was extremely efficient with a .530 kill percentage on her 19 attempts.
