Izzy McMahon
Biography
Personal: McMahon comes from a family of dedicated lacrosse players. Both of her parents played lacrosse at William & Mary, and all four of her sisters played college lacrosse. Her older sister, Gabby, was an All-Conference performer at USC from 2014-17. Her younger sister, Daniella, played lacrosse at Stanford, and her younger sister, Michaela, played lacrosse at USC. Her youngest sister, Sophia, competes for the Stanford women's lacrosse team. McMahon credits former USC assistant strength and conditioning coach Danny van Dijk as someone who has made a difference in her life. If she wasn't playing lacrosse, she would choose to be a professional golfer. McMahon played baseball, soccer, tennis, and basketball along with lacrosse as a child. She enjoys playing golf and is passionate about nature documentaries and good music. She chose to wear the number 2 because she has worn a jersey number with at least one digit having that number throughout her entire career.
2022 Season: McMahon registered 626 leaderboard points in all 12 games, including four starts. She scored 14 goals, including four two-point goals, and had five assists. McMahon tied for second in Athletes Unlimited with her four two-point goals. She made history by becoming the first player in the league to score a two-point goal in four consecutive games from August 5-11. McMahon ended the season with at least one goal in eight consecutive games, including five multi-goal efforts. Her season-high was three goals, including a two-pointer, against Team Colson on August 6. She also had back-to-back two-goal performances against Team Arsenault and Team Moreno. McMahon achieved consecutive two-goal efforts against Team Apuzzo on August 7 and Team Moreno on August 11.
2021 Season: McMahon earned 914 leaderboard points in her inaugural season. She had four games with 100 or more points and scored 10 goals with seven assists in 15 games. Additionally, she contributed nine ground balls and four caused turnovers. Her season high was four goals against Team Wood on August 16 in the Week Four finale. She started the season with one goal and two assists against Team O'Donnell on July 23.
At USC: McMahon played four years at USC after transferring from Army following her freshman year. She appeared in 59 career games with 53 starts and tallied 107 career goals with 48 assists. She also registered 58 ground balls and 78 draw controls. McMahon was a member of the 2019 Pac-12 Conference All-Tournament Team. As a freshman at Army, she played in eight games with seven starts and totaled 16 goals, one assist, and 13 draw controls. McMahon was a two-sport athlete at Army, also playing on the basketball team.
