Biography
Personal: Claire Hoffman is the daughter of Gary and Stephanie Hoffman. Her brother, Spencer, played basketball at Colorado Christian. Her mother competed in track and field at Oregon. Her father played in the National Football League for two seasons after playing collegiately at Santa Clara. Claire Hoffman has a dog named Charlie. She notes her college coach, Keegan Cook, as a mentor. Her hobbies include watching movies, hiking, and listening to music. Claire Hoffman can also play the guitar, ukulele, and piano.
2024 Season: Claire Hoffman posted an eighth-place finish with 2,926 leaderboard points during her first Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball season. She ranked sixth in the league with 1,406 stat points and was a two-time Match MVP selection who claimed 100 MVP points. Claire Hoffman finished 10th in the league with 125 kills while ranking fourth with 341 total reception attempts. She also added 109 digs and 10 solo blocks. Claire Hoffman was one of six players to post at least 400 leaderboard points in a single match. She played 46 sets across 15 matches. Claire Hoffman acquired 257 leaderboard points with nine kills, 10 digs, and a pair of solo blocks in her AU debut against Team Valentin-Anderson on October 3. She registered a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs to amass 214 points against Team Caffey on October 11. Claire Hoffman earned MVP 2 status with 12 kills and eight digs to tally 309 leaderboard points against Team Drews on October 20. She set a season high with 15 kills while equaling her season high with 11 digs to claim MVP 1 plaudits and a season-high 429 leaderboard points against Team Hentz on October 27. Claire Hoffman finished the season with seven kills, nine digs, and 234 leaderboard points against Team Kingdon Rishel on November 4. Other Professional Experience: Claire Hoffman played for Beziers Volleyball Club in the French League during the 2023-24 season. She also played for Salt Lake during the 2025 League One Pro Volleyball season, where she tallied 52 kills and 46 digs.
At Washington: Claire Hoffman was a five-year letter winner at Washington who played in 121 matches and 463 total sets from 2018-22. She finished her college career with 1,571 kills and 896 digs. Claire Hoffman was a three-time AVCA All-America and All-Region performer for the Huskies. She earned three All-Pac-12 Conference certificates and became the third player in program history to receive All-America status three times. Claire Hoffman was a Second-Team AVCA All-America performer in 2022 after starting 31 matches as a fifth-year player. She was also named to the AVCA All-Region and All-Pac-12 Teams.
