Alexa Gray

Biography
Personal: Alexa Gray is the daughter of Evric Gray and Stacey French. Her mother played basketball at Southern Utah. Her father played basketball at UNLV. Alexa Gray also played rugby and basketball in high school.
Other Professional Experience: Alexa Gray began her professional career with GS Caltex Seoul KIXX in South Korea in 2016-17. She has also played for Volley Soverato, Epiu Pomi Casalmaggiore, Golden Tulip Volalto 2.0 Caserta, Savino Del Bene Scandicci, Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio, and Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley Conegliano in Italy. Alexa Gray spent 2023-25 with Eczacibasi Dynavit in the Turkish league. She won a pair of Turkish Cup silver medals. Alexa Gray earned Italian league MVP in the 2022-23 season. Gray signed to play with LOVB Salt Lake for the 2026 League One Volleyball season.
International Experience: Alexa Gray has been a member of the Canadian National Team since 2017. Alexa Gray participated in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship. She helped Canada secure a Bronze medal at the 2018 Women’s Pan-American Volleyball Cup. Alexa Gray was named Best Scorer and Best Spiker at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Challenger Cup. Gray also claimed Best Spiker laurels at the 2019 Women’s NORCECA Volleyball Championship in San Juan, Puerto Rico, after guiding Team Canada to a Bronze medal. She garnered MVP honors at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Challenger Cup qualification. Alexa Gray guided Team Canada to a Gold medal at the 2019 FIVB Challenger Cup in Lima, Peru.
At BYU: Alexa Gray appeared in 459 sets across 130 matches at BYU from 2012-15. Gray was the first player in program history to earn three All-America selections, including First-Team notice after her senior campaign. She was named to the All-Region First Team three times. Alexa Gray was a two-time selection as West Coast Conference Player of the Year who also earned the 2012 WCC Freshman of the Year citation. Gray earned four All-Conference selections. She was named to four All-NCAA Tournament teams, including the 2014 All-Tournament Regional and Championship teams. Alexa Gray finished her career as BYU’s rally-scoring era kills leader with 1,848 kills. She is also among program leaders with 4,473 total attacks, 549 sets played, 35 solo blocks, and 2,052 total points. Alexa Gray appeared in 111 sets over 32 matches as a senior in 2015. She entered program record books with 582 kills in her final campaign. Gray finished with a .298 hitting percentage, 271 digs, 69 total blocks, and 646 total points. Alexa Gray was an AVCA First Team All-America selection who also garnered WCC Player of the Year plaudits. Alexa Gray finished with double-digit kills in all but two matches as a senior, including a season-high 31 kills against Santa Clara. Alexa Gray posted double-doubles, including 30 kills and 32 digs against Portland. Alexa Gray garnered AVCA All-America Second Team laurels following her junior campaign in 2014. She finished with 424 kills after appearing in 116 sets over 35 matches. Alexa Gray added 92 total blocks and 47 digs. Alexa Gray claimed her first WCC Player of the Year nod and First Team All-Conference honor. Gray appeared in 120 sets over 31 matches as a sophomore in 2013. Alexa Gray totaled 477 kills with 86 digs and 83 total blocks. Alexa Gray garnered AVCA Third Team All-America plaudits in addition to First-Team All-Region and All-WCC status. Alexa Gray played in 112 sets over 32 matches as a freshman. She earned a spot on the WCC All-Freshman squad and AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention listing. Gray put down 365 kills and a .308 hitting percentage with 67 total blocks and 71 digs.
