Personal: Filler has dual citizenship in Italy and the United States. Her great-grandparents are Italian immigrants who were originally from Fano, Italy. She has three brothers, including twin brother Daniel, who played college ice hockey, and younger brother Michael, who lives and works in New York City. Her youngest brother, Jonny, plays college golf at Cleveland State. Filler graduated from Northwestern in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in communications. She also completed her Master's degree in Sports Administration from Northwestern in 2016 before earning a School of Professional Studies Certificate in Leadership and Marketing in 2017. Filler currently works as Director of Operations for the Northwestern softball team. She also served as Director of Operations for the Northwestern softball and field hockey programs from 2018 to 2021. Filler's husband, Kyle Ruchim, played baseball at Northwestern and was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft. He also played professionally with the Schaumburg Boomers in 2015 and 2017 while also spending time in the Chicago White Sox organization in 2016. Filler will be inducted into the Bishop Dwenger High School Hall of Fame in October 2022. She led her high school softball team to the first state title in program history in 2010.
