Valentin-Anderson executes on offense and defense; earns PVF Weekly Honors
Omaha Supernovas setter Natalia Valentin-Anderson continues to prove why she is one of the best in the game, earning the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) Player of the Week honors after two dominant performances that led her team to back-to-back victories.
Valentin-Anderson – a Puerto Rican National Team member and Olympian – played a pivotal role in Omaha’s offensive and defensive execution, guiding the Supernovas to the top of the PVF standings. On Friday, she orchestrated the offense masterfully in a sweep over the Vegas Thrill, tallying 39 assists (13.0 assists per set) and six digs.
The Supernovas hit at a season-best .352 clip, marking the teams’ season-best and the second-highest hitting percentage in franchise history.

She followed up with an even more impressive performance on Sunday in a four-set victory against Grand Rapids. Valentin-Anderson dished out 41 assists and collected 20 digs, making it her second 40-assist, 20-dig match of the season. Her first came on January 19 against San Diego, when she posted 44 assists and 21 digs. This achievement makes her one of only two PVF players to record multiple matches with that stat line this year.
Valentin-Anderson’s impact wasn’t just on offense — she was a steady leader who controlled the tempo of both matches. Against Grand Rapids, she tallied 20 digs, showcasing her all-around skill and ability to keep Omaha in system. Alongside libero Camila Gómez, who set a franchise record with 24 digs in a four-set match, she helped lead a dominant defensive effort. The duo combined for 44 of Omaha’s 83 digs, just five shy of the franchise record. Her two-way performance was a key factor in the Supernovas’ success and a significant reason she earned PVF Player of the Week honors.
The consistency and adaptability of Valentin-Anderson highlights the growing impact of setters who have played in Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball. The league’s unique format, where setters work with different hitters weekly, has helped produce some of the most versatile and elite playmakers in the sport. This marks the second consecutive week that an AU Pro Volleyball setter has taken home PVF Player of the Week honors, reinforcing the program’s influence at the professional level.
Valentin-Anderson and the Supernovas will return to action in Week 13 when they host the Orlando Valkyries on Saturday, April 5. Fans can catch the action live on VBTV as Omaha looks to continue their dominance in the PVF. You can expect eight Athletes Unlimited Players to be featured in the match-up.
