Omaha Supernovas franchise records don’t last long—athletes continue to smash the ones previously set as the season progresses.

Bethania de la Cruz and Natalia Valentin-Anderson both surpassed game-best marks in Week 11 of the Pro Volleyball Federation.

De La Cruz had her personal best week of the season so far, earning PVF Player of the Week honors.

The outside hitter now holds the franchise record for kills in a match with 26 balls put away against the San Diego Mojo last Tuesday. She logged a .418 hitting percentage in addition to 13 digs and three blocks.

The 2021 AU Pro Volleyball Champion accounted for 50% of the team’s kills that night.

She came back to match her franchise record two days later against the Columbus Fury, registering 26 kills again along with a new franchise record .585 hitting percentage. De La Cruz only had two hitting errors on 41 attempts. She also notched 14 digs.

Valentin-Anderson also recorded a new mark in assists on Thursday facing the Fury. The setter contributed 57 assists in the team’s victory, breaking the record (51 assists) set by Sydney Hilley just a week prior.

It was Valentin-Anderson’s second 50-assist performance of the season. She guided the team to their second-highest hitting percentage on the year too; Omaha hit .310 as a group.

Upcoming

The Supernovas only have one match in the upcoming week. They’ll hit the road to face the Atlanta Vibe on Saturday, April 13 at 7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT.
