Biography
Personal: Khat Bell studied health at Texas. She is the daughter of Kenneth Bell and Regina Williams, models her game after Yeon Koung Kim, and names her mother as her idol. Her hobbies include cooking.
2024 Season: Khat Bell completed her first Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball season, finishing 13th with 2,560 leaderboard points. She accumulated 1,260 stat points and was tied for fifth in the circuit with 220 MVP points and five Match MVP selections. She played in all 46 sets across 15 matches, ranking seventh in the league with 152 kills. She also contributed 122 digs and 22 solo blocks. Khat Bell posted two double-doubles in Week Five. She earned MVP 1 honors in her first AU Pro Volleyball outing on October 3, tallying 12 kills, six digs, and 270 leaderboard points against Team Valentin-Anderson. On October 14, she garnered MVP 1 accolades with 12 kills, seven digs, four solo blocks, and 336 leaderboard points against Team Caffey. Khat Bell set a season high with 362 leaderboard points in an MVP 1 performance against Team Drews on October 20, where she achieved a season-high 15 kills and eight digs. She earned MVP 3 recognition on November 3 with six kills, three blocks, and a season-high 12 digs against Team Drews. She concluded the season with 11 kills and 10 digs against Team Abercrombie on November 4. Khat Bell scored 100 or more leaderboard points in nine matches, including over 200 points in six appearances.
Other Professional Experience: Khat Bell has played professionally overseas for 10 years, winning the Philippines League championship twice and the Korean League title once. She played for Vegas Thrill during the inaugural 2024 Pro Volleyball Federation season, recording 228 kills, 38 blocks, and 201 digs across 68 sets. She was also a member of League One Pro Volleyball’s Austin squad in 2025, contributing 44 kills and 37 digs.
International Experience: Khat Bell was a member of the United States Girls Youth National Team at the 2009 FIVB Girls’ Youth World Championships in Thailand.
At Texas: Khat Bell was a four-year letter winner, appearing in 372 sets over 108 matches from 2011 to 2014. She led the Longhorns to the 2012 NCAA Division I title and earned AVCA All-America honors three times, including Second-Team as a senior. She also received Volleyball Magazine All-America laurels twice, with Second-Team status as a junior. Khat Bell was a two-time AVCA All-Region honoree and a four-time All-Big 12 Conference selection, earning First-Team distinction in her final three seasons at Texas. She finished her career with 827 kills and a .297 hitting percentage, along with 320 career digs and 436 total blocks. In her senior year in 2014, she recorded 239 kills in 30 matches, saw action in 102 sets with 101 total blocks and 56 digs. She achieved double-digit kills in eight matches, including a season-best 15 kills against Kansas. She registered five or more total blocks in eight contests, with a season-high eight rejections against West Virginia. As a junior, she appeared in 98 sets over 27 matches with 26 starts, recording 188 kills, 14 service aces, and 76 digs. She also contributed 137 total blocks during the 2013 season, reaching double-digit kills six times, including a season-high 16 kills against American in the NCAA Tournament. She had multiple blocks in every match, including a season-high 10 total stops against Wisconsin in the NCAA semifinals. In her sophomore year, she played in all 31 matches while guiding the Longhorns to the NCAA crown, posting 216 kills on a .325 hitting percentage in 103 total sets. She also boasted 15 service aces, 57 digs, and a career-high 142 total blocks. As a freshman, she recorded 184 kills in 20 matches, earning All-Big 12 Honorable Mention laurels, and contributed 131 digs with 56 total blocks.
