Lorenne Teixeira, a veteran opposite and longtime member of the Brazilian national team, is headed to the United States for the Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball Championship.

Teixeira brings more than a decade of professional and international experience to AU. She has been a fixture in Brazil’s top domestic league since her teenage years, and a consistent presence on the national team at both youth and senior levels.

Most recently, she was part of the Brazilian squad that won bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She also helped Brazil earn silver at the 2022 FIVB Women’s World Championship, and has collected three silver medals in the FIVB Volleyball Nations League (2019, 2021, 2022). Teixeira contributed to gold medal finishes at the South American Championship in 2019 and 2021, earning MVP honors in the 2019 tournament.

Teixeira has played for several top clubs in Brazil and internationally, including recent seasons with SESI Bauru and Lokomotiv Kaliningrad in Russia. This month, she helped lead SESI Bauru to a runner-up finish in the Brazil Cup, a tournament she has already won three times in her career.

The 6-foot-2 opposite hitter is known for her power at the net and scoring efficiency from the right side. She adds depth, experience, and a championship mindset to the AU roster.

The 2025 season marks her first time competing professionally in the United States.

With a resume that includes Olympic, World Championship, and club-level success, Teixeira becomes one of the most accomplished international athletes to join Athletes Unlimited this season.

The 2025 AU Pro Volleyball Championship will feature 44 of the world’s top volleyball players in an exclusive, high-stakes tournament to determine the ultimate champion of the sport. These elite athletes, handpicked from the best domestic and international pro leagues, will face off in the nation’s premier volleyball hubs in Omaha, Nebraska, at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena (October 1-15) and in Madison, Wisconsin, at the Alliant Energy Center (October 22 – November 3). Series ticket deposits for both locations are now available here.
