Brazilian Olympian Natália Zilio Pereira Joins AU Pro Volleyball Championship

Natália Zilio Pereira is ready to tackle a new challenge.

The decorated outside hitter will make her Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball debut this fall, bringing a wealth of international experience to the competition.​

Pereira is a two-time Olympian for Brazil and was part of the national team that secured a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics. She also contributed to Brazil’s silver medal win at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

Pereira has been instrumental in Brazil’s success at the FIVB World Grand Prix, earning gold medals in 2009, 2013, 2014, and 2016. She was recognized as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player in 2016 and 2017. 

At the club level, Pereira has showcased her talents across multiple continents. In Brazil, she secured national championships with Sollys Osasco (2009–10), Unilever Vôlei (2012–13), Rexona/Ades (2014–15, 2015–16), and Itambé/Minas (2018–19). Her international career includes stints with Fenerbahçe in Turkey, where she won the Turkish League title in the 2016–17 season and was named the league’s MVP, and with Dynamo Moscow in Russia, achieving a Russian Super League championship in the 2022–23 season. 

Pereira is known for her powerful attacking and defensive versatility, and fans can look forward to seeing her make an immediate impact as she embarks on this new chapter in her illustrious career.​

The 2025 AU Pro Volleyball Championship will feature 44 of the world’s top volleyball players in an exclusive, high-stakes tournament to determine the ultimate champion of the sport. These elite athletes, handpicked from the best domestic and international pro leagues, will face off in the nation’s premier volleyball hubs in Omaha, Nebraska, at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena (October 1-15) and in Madison, Wisconsin, at the Alliant Energy Center (October 22 – November 3).
