Athletes Unlimited Softball signed four catchers for both AUX and Championship seasons. Taylor Edwards, Sashel Palacios, Jordan Roberts, and Mia Davidson fill four out of six roster spots for the position.

Taylor Edwards enters her fourth year in the league and tenth as a pro. She is a member of the 2022 All-Defensive Team for her position. She started in all 15 games of the Championship season last year and finished with a .277 batting average.

The inaugural season of AUfeatured Edwards’ highest finish on the final leaderboard, ranking 14th overall.

She helped Team USA win gold medals at the WBSC World Championship and USA Softball International Cup events in 2018, and also served as a replacement player for Team USA during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Sashel Palacios is another catcher who has competed with the league since its inception. Her name is in the record books for launching the first grand slam in AUX Softball history last year. That game she joined Courtney Gano as the only players to drive in five or more runs in a game. She also shares the honors of being the only athletes to hit a grand slam in either season with Gano.

Palacios is a member of Team Mexico, winning a silver medal during the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games. She led Team Mexico to a fourth-place finish at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, hitting .222 in five games.

Jordan Roberts started her pro career with Athletes Unlimited in 2020 after competing at the collegiate level with the Florida Gators. She ranks fourth for most leaderboard points in a single week, racking up 580 points in Week 5 of the 2020 championship season. It was in that series that she hit what is regarded as one of the longest home runs in AU Softball history.

Mia Davidson is a member of the 2022 AU Softball College Draft class and started her pro career with the league. In her rookie campaign, she finished in the top half of the leaderboard and ranked 21st overall. She registered 10 hits on four home runs, three doubles, and three singles to drive in 11 runs.

Davidson is a five-year letter winner for the Mississippi State Bulldogs who started in all 270 games of her career from 2018-22.

Athletes Unlimited Softball returns with AUon June 12.
