AU Pro Volleyball Championship adds middle blocker trio Martyn, Legros, Ofoegbu
A new trio of middle blockers is set to join the 2025 Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball Championship, with Lydia Martyn, Annayka Legros and Onye Ofoegbu bringing size, skill and fresh defensive firepower to the roster.
Martyn, a 6-foot-3 graduate standout from Oklahoma, closed her collegiate career with back-to-back seasons leading the Sooners in total blocks. She earned All-Central Region First Team and All-SEC Second Team honors in 2024 after posting 210 kills, a .360 hitting percentage and 124 total blocks, including 18 solo.
Martyn tallied nine double-digit kill matches last season and finished with 500 career blocks and over 1,000 career kills. Before transferring to Oklahoma, she was a two-time ASUN All-Conference selection at Liberty, where she ranked second in the league in hitting percentage (.362) in 2022 and led the conference in total blocks. She spent her first pro season with the Indy Ignite, ranking fourth on the squad in blocks with 37 on the year.
Legros arrives with eight years of professional experience in Switzerland and France, including a 2025 French Cup title with Volley Mulhouse Alsace. The Kennesaw, Georgia, native has twice earned Best Spiker honors in France’s Saforelle Power 6 (2022/23, 2024/25) and claimed the same award in the 2023 French Cup. Collegiately, she played at Coastal Carolina from 2013-16, collecting three First Team All-Conference honors and a 2016 AVCA All-South Region nod.
Ofoegbu joins the league after appearing for LOVB Atlanta in 2025 and finishing her college career at Oregon, where she was named a 2024 AVCA Third Team All-American and First Team All-Big Ten honoree. She led the Ducks in blocks and ranked third in kills last season. Prior to Oregon, she starred at UC Irvine, where she earned AVCA All-American Honorable Mention in 2022, two First Team All-Big West honors, and led the conference in total blocks (143) in 2021.
