AU Pro Softball signs pitcher Rachel Garcia for the 2024 Championship season
At the 2023 Championship season, Garcia medaled again placing fourth overall. She is the second player in any AU sport to earn a medal in three seasons. Garcia was elite at the plate and in the circle. She set the league’s single-season record in stat points with 800 and had a league-high 280 MVP points.
At the plate, she ranked second in the league with a .675 slugging percentage and belted a league-best five home runs while adding 10 RBIs. As a pitcher, Garcia compiled a 5-3 record while fashioning a 2.45 earned run average in a league-high 54.1 innings. She recorded the highest number of strikeouts (66) and limited opposing batters to a .179 average. Garcia retired the side in order 15 times, which was tied with Megan Faraimo for the league lead.
Her career stats with the league include a .252 batting average, .504 slugging percentage, and 3.04 ERA.
