Biography
Personal: Gardner is the daughter of Enrique and Consuellen Gardner. Her sister, Rhema, played basketball at UCLA. Her cousin, Touissant Tyler, played in the National Football League with Washington and New Orleans.
Other Professional Experience: Gardner is a three-year WNBA veteran who has appeared in 79 career games with seven starts. She owns a 5.9 career scoring average while adding 2.5 rebounds per contest. She appeared in 35 games with Chicago during the 2022 season en route to receiving First-Team WNBA All-Rookie Team status. She scored a career-best 8.5 points per game while making 54.2 percent of her field goal attempts. She saw action in three contests with Chicago in 2023. She played in 41 games with the New York Liberty during the 2025 season with five starts and contributed 3.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per outing. She has also played overseas in Spain, Romania, Turkey, and Israel. She earned Spanish League Most Valuable Player and Guard of the Year honors in 2022.
At UCLA: Gardner was a four-year letter winner at UCLA who started 49-of-127 games from 2008-12. She tallied 1,101 career points with 425 rebounds and 167 steals. She piloted UCLA to an 86-42 record during her four-year career. She was a starter in all 30 games as a senior who led the Bruins in scoring (15.9 points per game) and steals (61) while earning First-Team All-Pac-10 Conference distinction.
