Two of Thailand’s most decorated volleyball stars are headed to the Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball Championship, as libero Piyanut Pannoy and setter Pornpun Guedpard prepare to make their league debuts this fall.

Pannoy, from Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, has been a mainstay on the national team for more than a decade and has served as team captain. She has collected a lengthy list of honors, including two Asian Championship titles, seven Southeast Asian Games gold medals, and three Asian Games medals.

She has been a regular on Thailand’s VNL and World Grand Prix rosters since 2010, and has also built a winning résumé in professional leagues across Thailand, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan. She has claimed four Asian Club Championships, along with domestic titles such as the Azerbaijan Superleague, Kazakhstan League, Kazakhstan Cup, Kazakhstan Super Cup, and three Thailand League crowns.

In 2025, Pannoy joined LOVB Atlanta, where she anchored the back row and posted a season-high 21 digs in a match against Madison.

Guedpard, a nine-year professional, brings elite setting experience and championship pedigree to AU. Her career has included stints in top leagues across South Korea, Romania, Indonesia, Japan, and Thailand, winning titles with Bangkok Glass and PEA Sisaket.

She played a key role in guiding the Orlando Valkyries to the 2025 Pro Volleyball Federation title, ranking second in the league with 1,082 assists and adding 256 digs, which ranked third-best on the team. She reached her season high for the Valkyries in March with a total of 56 assists versus the San Diego Mojo, and recorded a season-high 28 digs in January.

Both of the new signees most recently appeared for Thailand in the 2025 Volleyball Nations League competition. With Pannoy’s defensive skill and Guedpard’s offensive leadership, the duo adds international championship experience to a competitive AU Pro Volleyball Championship field.

The 2025 AU Pro Volleyball Championship will feature 44 of the world’s top volleyball players in an exclusive, high-stakes tournament to determine the ultimate champion of the sport. These elite athletes, handpicked from the best domestic and international pro leagues, will face off in the nation’s premier volleyball hubs in Omaha, Nebraska, at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena (October 1-15) and in Madison, Wisconsin, at the Alliant Energy Center (October 22 – November 3). Tickets for both locations are now available here.
