Biography
Personal: Skylar Fields is the daughter of Stacy and Jackie Fields. She was named the No. 1 recruit out of high school by PrepVolleyball.com. Skylar Fields earned USA Today and PrepVolleyball All-America status. She models her game after Paula Engonu. Skylar Fields competed in soccer, swimming, and basketball when she was younger. Her hobbies include painting, reading, and going to the beach. Skylar Fields lists receiving her master’s degree as her proudest accomplishment.
Other Professional Experience: Skylar Fields made her professional debut for UYBA Volley Busto Arsizio in Italy for the 2023-24 season. She was a member of LOVB Salt Lake during the inaugural 2025 League One Volleyball campaign, totaling 157 kills with 19 total blocks and 49 digs, and also posting a .386 hitting percentage. Skylar Fields played for Orlando Valkyries in the inaugural 2024 Pro Volleyball Federation season, finishing with 29 kills, five total blocks, and 11 digs.
International Experience: Skylar Fields led Team USA to a Gold medal at the 2025 NORCECA Final Six. She was a member of the 2018 USA Junior National Team, which won the U-20 NORCECA Continental Championship. Skylar Fields guided the USA Youth National Team to a runner-up finish at the 2016 U-18 NORCECA Continental Championship.
At USC and Texas: Skylar Fields appeared in 237 sets across 61 matches at USC from 2022-23 after playing her first three seasons at Texas from 2019-21. Skylar Fields appeared in 120 sets over 30 matches for USC during the 2023 campaign, ranking second in NCAA Division I with 617 kills. She held a .293 hitting percentage while contributing 248 digs and 64 total blocks. Skylar Fields was named AVCA First Team All-America and All-Region selection in addition to garnering First-Team All-Pac-12 laurels.
