Biography
Personal: Andrews is the daughter of Christopher and Barbara Andrews. She is one of four children in her family, and her older sister, Brooke, also plays softball at Nebraska. Andrews majored in graphic design at Nebraska. She lists her high school coach, Bill Heard, as a person who has made a difference in her life. She also competed in basketball growing up and has a dog named Thor. Andrews's hobbies include painting, drawing, crafts, playing video games, and Lego.
2024 AUX Season: In the final Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball AUX standings, Andrews earned 10th place while making her professional debut. She tallied 1,110 leaderboard points, including 700 win points and 270 stat points. She was honored as Defensive MVP on June 11 against Team Andrews. She was a starter in 11 out of 12 games and hit .324 with four home runs and 12 runs batted in. She collected 11 hits, including a double, while scoring six runs. Andrews was one of four players in the league to belt two home runs in a game, accomplishing the feat against Team Alo on June 25 while collecting a season-high 250 leaderboard points. She also drove in a season-high five runs. Andrews secured the MVP 1 distinction on June 16 against Team Andrews, earning 180 leaderboard points after hitting a home run and driving in two runs. She finished the season with a six-game hitting streak.
At Nebraska: Andrews was a four-year letter winner at Nebraska. She started all 208 games of her career from 2021-24. Andrews had a phenomenal .347 batting average and set a school record with 61 home runs. She is one of only three Nebraska players to have hit 50 or more career home runs. Andrews also holds the school record for eight games with multiple home runs. Additionally, she is tied for seventh in program history with 157 career runs batted in. Andrews tallied 238 hits, including 34 doubles and five triples, finishing her career in sixth place on the Huskers’ career ledger.
She became the 10th player in program history to receive multiple NFCA All-America honors, claiming Third-Team status as a junior and senior. Andrews also collected three NFCA All-Midwest Region commendations, including back-to-back First-Team nods in 2023 and 2024. She is one of only eight players in Nebraska history with four All-Big Ten Conference selections. Andrews secured First-Team All-Big Ten plaudits as a freshman, junior, and senior, in addition to Second-Team recognition during the 2022 campaign. She was honored as Nebraska’s 2023-24 Female Student-Athlete of the Year.
Andrews was a starter in 49 games at shortstop during her senior campaign and led the Huskers in batting average, hits, runs scored, home runs, runs batted in, and stolen bases. She also contributed 10 doubles. Andrews earned NCAA and Big Ten Player of the Week distinction after a remarkable performance at the Mary Nutter Classic. In her junior year, Andrews started in all 58 games at shortstop and ranked second in the Big Ten with 16 home runs.
During her sophomore season, Andrews ranked second in the Big Ten and 13th in NCAA Division I with 20 home runs while starting all 57 games. She also drove in a career-best 51 runs and had a .330 batting average. Andrews belted a home run in five consecutive home runs from February 28 to March 5, 2022. She started all 44 games at shortstop as a freshman en route to First-Team All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Freshman Team accolades. Andrews led Huskers in multiple categories and was recognized as Big Ten Freshman of the Week four times.
