Week 1 Captains Announced for AU Pro Lacrosse Season 4

The Week One captains for the fourth season of Athletes Unlimited Pro Lacrosse are set.

Taylor Moreno, Sam Apuzzo, Kady Glynn, and Abby Bosco will draft their Week One teams as the 2024 season gets underway on Monday, July 15. The draft will be streamed live on YouTube and hosted by Kylie Ohlmiller and Maria Trivelpiece.

The final leaderboard standings from the previous season determine the captains for the start of each new AU season.

Moreno (Gold) became the first player in any Athletes Unlimited sport to claim consecutive titles in 2023. She defeated Apuzzo for the second straight year with 1,679 points. Moreno set the AU Pro Lacrosse saves record with 140, posting a 0.63 save percentage in 2023.

Apuzzo (Orange), who claimed her third medalist honor, followed with 1,667 points. She scored 30 goals and added 12 assists.

Glynn (Blue) placed third with 1,346 points. She tallied 100 saves and a 0.52 save percentage. Bosco (Purple) finished fourth with 1,301 points. She was the first defender in league history to earn a medal and was named the AU Pro Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year with 19 caused turnovers, 41 draw controls, and 24 ground balls.

The four captains will draft their teams on Monday, July 15, at 7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT on YouTube.

Tickets are on sale for the 2024 AU Pro Lacrosse season which begins July 18 at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland.
