Serena Gray Set to Make Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball Debut
Middle blocker Serena Gray is set to make her Athletes Unlimited debut this fall, adding her name to the growing list of Team USA athletes joining the 2025 AU Pro Volleyball Championship.
Gray is a product of Temple City, California, and enters the league with an already decorated resume. She’s been a member of the U.S. National Team since 2023 and was most recently assigned to the team’s Volleyball Nations League roster during the opening round of 2025 competition.
Gray helped Team USA to a silver medal at the 2024 Pan American Cup, a gold medal at the 2023 NORCECA Final Six, and a bronze medal at the 2023 Pan Am Cup.
Professionally, she competed for Béziers Volley in France during the 2023-24 season. Before that, she starred collegiately at Pitt and Penn State, earning 2022 AVCA First Team All-America honors and leading the Panthers to back-to-back NCAA Final Four appearances.
Her 2022 campaign at Pitt was among the most dominant by a middle in the country. She hit .396 on the season (18th nationally) and led the team in blocks (131) while finishing third in kills (248). She was the only player in the ACC to hit over .400 in conference play with at least 130 kills.
Gray also became just the second player in Pitt history to earn Academic All-American, AVCA All-American, and All-Conference honors in the same season. She is a two-time ACC Volleyball Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year and a two-time All-ACC First Team selection.
She’ll bring a versatile skill set to the middle blocker group in AU, where she joins a class of newcomers and returners with elite international and collegiate credentials.
The 2025 AU Pro Volleyball Championship will feature 44 of the world’s top volleyball players in an exclusive, high-stakes tournament to determine the ultimate champion of the sport. These elite athletes, handpicked from the best domestic and international pro leagues, will face off in the nation’s premier volleyball hubs in Omaha, Nebraska, at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena (October 1-15) and in Madison, Wisconsin, at the Alliant Energy Center (October 22 – November 3). Series ticket deposits for both locations are now available here.
