NASHVILLE — Center Tina Charles scored a game-high 17 points and added eight rebounds to lead Eclipse to a 78-64 victory against Gold Rush in Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball action at Nashville Municipal Auditorium on Wednesday night.

Charles, who claimed MVP 1 honors and 628 leaderboard points, shot 8-for-16 from the floor to lead three Eclipse players in double figures. Guard Shey Peddy added a season-high 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including a career-best four three-pointers, while dishing out six assists to claim MVP 2 status and a game-high 675 leaderboard points.

Forward Alissa Pili, making her season debut, registered 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field in 16 minutes off the bench, while forward Alysha Clark finished with eight points and a team-high nine rebounds.

Forward Teana Muldrow led Gold Rush with a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds to secure MVP 3 laurels in the loss, while guard Kia Nurse chipped in a team-high 16 points.

KEY MOMENT

Eclipse used a 14-3 run in the opening 2:32 of the game and never looked back en route to securing the wire-to-wire victory. The squad led by as many as 17 points in the fourth quarter.

LEADERBOARD IMPACT

Center Mercedes Russell moved up four places into second place on the leaderboard with 1,860 points, while Clark sits in third with 1,780 points heading into Friday’s action. Charles also rose five places in the standings and stands fifth with 1,709 points.

GOLD RUSH NOTES

Gold Rush initiated a captain’s challenge on an out-of-bounds call with 5:11 remaining in the fourth quarter, which was successful.
Gold Rush was held to just 64 points, marking the first time a team has been held to under 70 points since Team Sims defeated Team Caldwell by a 73-64 margin on February 15, 2025.
Guard Kaitlyn Chen made her debut as a captain against Eclipse on Wednesday night.
Forward Teana Muldrow authored her eighth career double-digit scoring effort, including her third occurrence this season, after finishing with 12 points.
Muldrow also registered her second career double-double after adding 11 rebounds in the setback … She is the fourth different player to record a double-double this year.
Guard Kia Nurse scored 10 or more points for the seventh consecutive game dating back to last season after posting 16 points … She has tallied 15 or more points in 3-of-4 games this year.

Eclipse requested a captain’s challenge with 15.3 seconds left in the fourth quarter on an offensive foul called against center Tina Charles, which was unsuccessful.
Eclipse registered the 10th win points sweep in AU Pro Basketball history, including the second instance this season, with its win over Gold Rush on Wednesday … Eclipse also claimed all 420 win points against Gold Rush in a 101-83 victory on February 4.
Forward Alysha Clark became the third player in AU Pro Basketball history to start their tenure as a captain with four consecutive wins … She joins guard Allisha Gray and forward Maddy Siegrist, who each started their run as captains with 4-0 records.
Clark also becomes the third team captain to guide a team to multiple win point sweeps in league history … Guard Odyssey Sims served as captain for a pair of win point sweeps in 2022, while Siegrist guided her squads to a pair of sweeps last season.
