OMAHA, Nebraska — Outside hitter Reagan Cooper registered a season-high 17 kills and outside hitter Dani Drews added a double-double as Team Hentz cruised to a 75-58 victory over Team Valentin-Anderson in the first match of an AU Pro Volleyball Championship doubleheader at Liberty First Credit Union Arena on Thursday evening.

KEY MOMENT

After battling to a 25-23 victory in the opening set, Team Hentz pulled away in the middle frame by collecting a 25-14 set victory. Cooper led the charge by smashing seven of her match-high 17 kills during the second set, while Drews added six kills.

LEADERBOARD UPDATE

Drews vaulted into fourth place on the leaderboard after securing a match-high 328 leaderboard points, while outside hitter Sarah Parsons rose five spots into sixth place.

TEAM HENTZ NOTES

  • Team Hentz authored the 40th win points sweep in AU Pro Volleyball Championship history, including the third instance this season … Team Hentz has been responsible for two of the three sweeps this season, including a 75-57 victory over Team Kingdon Rishel on Monday night.
  • Libero Morgan Hentz has won seven of her last eight matches dating back to last season, including a perfect 4-0 record so far this season … Hentz also collected her 30th career match victory, making her the fifth player in league history with 30 or more career wins.

  • Hentz became the AU Pro Volleyball Championship career digs leader after collecting 10 digs, giving her 730 total digs over four seasons … She surpassed libero Nomaris Veléz Agosto, who totaled 725 digs from 2021-24.
  • Hentz has now registered 10 or more digs in 47 career matches, surpassing Veléz Agosto for the most double-digit dig performances in the league’s five-year history.
  • Hentz and Dixon have also tallied 200 or more leaderboard points in all four matches this season.
  • Outside hitter Reagan Cooper earned her second consecutive MVP 1 certificate while finishing with 326 leaderboard points … She has now tallied 200 or more leaderboard points in 3-of-4 contests this season.
  • Outside hitter Dani Drews authored the 13th double-double of her AU Pro Volleyball Championship career, including her second double-double this season, after compiling 14 kills and 10 digs … Drews now ranks fifth on the league’s all-time double-double list.
  • Drews received MVP 2 accolades to mark her league-leading fourth Match MVP award of the season … She also set a personal season high with 328 leaderboard points, giving her nine career matches with 300 or more points.
  • Outside hitter Sarah Parsons garnered the first Match MVP award of her AU Pro Volleyball Championship career after finishing with seven kills and a season-high 13 digs … She accumulated a season-high 317 leaderboard points in the victory.
  • Outside hitter Claire Chaussee amassed a season-high 228 leaderboard points after contributing one kill with one service ace and five digs in Thursday night’s victory.

  • Outside hitter Madi Kingdon Rishel finished with 11 kills in Thursday night’s loss, marking her 16th double-digit kill performance in 18 career AU Pro Volleyball Championship matches.
  • Libero Manami Kojima fashioned a season-high 13 digs in her Week Two finale … It is the 13th time she has tallied 10 or more digs in a match during her two-year Athletes Unlimited career.
  • Middle blocker Sophie Fischer posted a match-high four solo blocks in the loss on Thursday night … It is the second time this season has tallied four or more rejections in a match after opening the campaign with five blocks against Team De La Cruz-Mejía.
  • Bergmark made her AU Pro Volleyball Championship debut in Thursday’s Week Two opener, recording a kill with two solo blocks.
