Recap: Maddy Siegrist Paces Team Harrison in 77-66 Win
NASHVILLE — Team Harrison used a strong second quarter, including a 15-0 outburst, to post a 77-66 victory over Team Colson in the finale of Wednesday’s season-opening Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball doubleheader at Nashville Municipal Auditorium.
Forward Maddy Siegrist paced her squad to the victory with a game-high 23 points on 9-of-17 shooting. The former Villanova standout added 10 rebounds with a pair of assists to garner MVP 1 honors and a game-high 663 leaderboard points.
Captain Isabelle Harrison also sparked her squad’s offense with 17 points and chipped in 10 rebounds en route to capturing MVP 2 laurels and 571 leaderboard points in the victory.
Forward Alysha Clark, who tallied 238 leaderboard points in her Athletes Unlimited debut, paced Team Colson by scoring 20 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the field to capture MVP 3 accolades.
Guard Lexie Brown poured in 17 points with five rebounds and a team-best four assists to aid in Team Harrison’s triumph.
Forward Alissa Pili, who was the No. 1 pick in the Week One draft, added 14 points for Team Colson, while forward Theresa Plaisance snagged a game-high 14 rebounds in the loss.
KEY MOMENT
Team Harrison overcame a seven-point deficit by mounting a 17-3 run, including 15 consecutive points, over the last six minutes of the second quarter to take a 38-30 lead at halftime. The advantage narrowed to just two points midway through the third frame, but Team Harrison worked an eight-point edge to finish the third quarter and held on for the victory.
LEADERBOARD IMPACT
Siegrist and Harrison sit fourth and fifth, respectively, on the Week One leaderboard following the opening day of the campaign, while Brown is slotted seventh. Team Westbrook owns seven of the top 10 positions after a dominating victory over Team Bell to begin Wednesday’s activities.

- Wednesday night’s tilt featured the first meeting between Harrison and guard Sydney Colson as team captains.
