NASHVILLE — Guard Bria Hartley scored the game-winning basket with 11.8 seconds remaining in regulation as Team Bradford rallied to edge Team Nurse, 73-71, in the second game of Friday’s Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball doubleheader at Nashville Municipal Auditorium.

Team Bradford earned its first win of the week and moves to 1-1, while Team Nurse remains winless at 0-2 entering Saturday’s weekly finale.

Hartley netted a season-high 21 points on 8-of-20 shooting from the floor with six rebounds and four assists en route to MVP 1 accolades and 540 leaderboard points.

Guard Crystal Bradford, meanwhile, registered her second straight double-double after setting game highs with 23 points and 15 rebounds. She collected MVP 2 laurels and finished the evening with 529 leaderboard points.

Guard Kierstan Bell paced Team Nurse in the loss with a season-high 17 points, including a 5-for-11 effort from three-point range, to secure MVP 3 distinction and 258 leaderboard points. She also contributed three rebounds, four assists, and a pair of blocked shots.

Captain Kia Nurse followed Bell’s scoring output with 14 points and nine rebounds in the setback, while forward Alissa Pili pitched in 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the floor. Guards Sydney Colson and Shey Peddy also chipped in 10 points apiece

KEY MOMENT

In a back-and-forth contest where each team led by double digits, Team Nurse held a slim 68-65 advantage with 2:58 remaining in regulation. Six straight points gave Team Bradford a 71-68 edge with 46 seconds to go, but Team Nurse responded with a game-tying triple from Bell to tie the contest at 71-all with 33 seconds left. After Hartley’s driving lay-up with 11.8 seconds left broke the deadlock, Team Nurse had one last chance to win the game, but Nurse’s three-pointer sailed wide as time expired.

LEADERBOARD IMPACT

Team Siegrist holds nine of the top 11 spots on the Week Two leaderboard heading into Saturday’s twin bill, while Bradford and Hartley sit in ninth and 11th places, respectively. However, the duo each moved into the top five in the season standings with Bradford holding third place with 2,343 leaderboard points and Hartley in the No. 5 position with 2,128 points.
