Los Angeles Sparks guard Odyssey Sims went off in Week 3 of WNBA play.

The 2025 Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball runner-up exploded against the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday, scoring 32 points (10-for-14 FG, 3-for-5 3PT, 9-for-10 FT) with five rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 37 minutes.

It marked her highest scoring output since her rookie season in 2014, and her impressive stats weren’t just empty numbers. Sims controlled the pace, attacked with purpose, and showed exactly why the Sparks signed her to a one-year deal midway through her AU season in Nashville.

After bouncing between hardship contracts in 2024, Sims used her standout spring in AU, where she finished second on the leaderboard, to secure her roster spot in Los Angeles. She’s since slotted in as a steady veteran option in a talented backcourt.

But Sunday’s performance proved she’s still capable of taking over.

Sims has scored 12 or more points in four of her last five games and is shooting with confidence and efficiency. She’s also earning increased playing time.

On Saturday against the Las Vegas Aces, she played a team-high 36 minutes, scoring 15 points (6-for-8 FG, 3-for-4 FT). She also added four rebounds and two assists, and has only continued to prove her worth to the Sparks’ squad.

Other AU standouts this week:

Kia Nurse – Chicago Sky

Nurse finished with 11 points and two assists (3-for-7 FG, 2-for-5 3PT) in Saturday’s win over the Dallas Wings. The AU standout, who averaged 15.8 points in February, has hit multiple threes in three consecutive games and continues to contribute reliable minutes in a balanced Sky offense.

Isabelle Harrison – New York Liberty

Harrison scored a season-high nine points, adding six rebounds and three steals in 17 minutes during Sunday’s win over the Connecticut Sun. The 6-foot-3 forward is finding her rhythm off the bench in her first season with the defending champions.

Maddy Siegrist – Dallas Wings

The 2025 AU Pro Basketball champion recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks in her first start of the season. Filling in for the injured Paige Bueckers, Siegrist came close to a double-double and proved her capability in the starting role.
