Most Dominant Offensive Threats of the 2025 AU Pro Volleyball Championship
The 2025 Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball Championship had no shortage of impactful attackers, most of whom dominated the leaderboard this fall. From Jordan Thompson’s record-breaking debut season to Reagan Cooper’s breakout rookie campaign, the offensive firepower on display in Madison and Omaha set new standards for the league.
Five players averaged nearly four kills per set or better, with Thompson’s 6.19 kills per set leading the way. And no matter which squads they were drafted to, these five stars stood out as they delivered game-changing performances week after week.
Jordan Thompson
Jordan Thompson recorded 229 kills across 12 matches while delivering double-digit kill performances in every single one. The opposite hitter became the first player in AU Pro Volleyball history to surpass five matches with 20 or more kills in a single season, starting with 20 kills against Team Abercrombie in Week One for the second-highest debut offensive performance in league history.
In Week Two versus Team Hoffman, she tallied 26 kills (just one shy of the single-match record) while setting a new single-set record with 15 kills. That match also marked the first double-double of the season. Her 6.19 kills per set average topped the league by a wide margin, and it was no surprise to see her at the top of the leaderboard at the conclusion of the season.

Reagan Cooper
Reagan Cooper entered the 2025 season as a rookie and flew under the radar in Week One before her breakout Week Two performance earned her a captain’s role for Weeks Three and Four. She delivered nine consecutive double-digit kill performances to close out the season.
Cooper finished second on the leaderboard with 3,015 total points and a 9-3 record while earning seven MVP distinctions. Her take-over style offensive sprees made her a magnet for match MVP votes. She joined Thompson and Dani Drews as the only players with five or more MVP awards during the championship. Her offensive peak came in Week Four when she posted a season-high 22 kills against Team Drews, becoming just the fourth player to record 20-plus kills in a match this season and the 10th in league history. Her 4.36 kills per set ranked second among all players.

Dani Drews
Dani Drews made it onto the podium for the second time in her AU career after registering double-digit kills in 11 of her 12 matches, which was a feat that only Thompson surpassed this fall. She was consistently among the first outside hitters drafted, and broke into the top four in time to serve as team captain for the final week, where her squad earned a 2-1 record.
She finished with 155 kills and 105 digs while receiving MVP honors five times, tied for the third-most earned by any player this season. Her season-high offensive performance came in Week One when she recorded a 20-kill match for Team De La Cruz-Mejía. Drews’ 4.19 kills per set average ranked third in the league.

Madi Kingdon Rishel
Madi Kingdon Rishel had a talent for finishing rallies and putting the ball away when her team needed it most. She tallied 147 kills across the season with eight double-figure kill performances, including a stretch of six consecutive matches with double-digit kills. Her season-high 21 kills came in Week Two playing for Team Valentin-Anderson.
Kingdon Rishel opened as a Week One captain before spending Week Two with Team Valentin-Anderson, then closed out the final two weeks wearing the gold jersey alongside champion Jordan Thompson. She received four Match MVP honors, including one MVP 1 nod, and her 3.97 kills per set average ranked fourth among the 44 players.

Brittany Abercrombie
2024 champion Brittany Abercrombie was another coveted pick on draft days. She opened the season as a Week One captain and closed that week with a 17-kill performance. That match was also her most consistent of the season, yielding a 0.47 hitting percentage. She recorded double figures in nine of her 12 matches, including a season-high 18 kills versus Team Cooper in Week Three.
Abercrombie’s 3.92 kills per set average ranked fifth in the league. While she couldn’t repeat as champion, she remained a consistent offensive threat throughout the fall and produced an impressive sophomore campaign.
