Here’s how the Week One teams performed:

Purple Duo

Marie McCool and Britt Read jolted up the leaderboard after Team Bosco’s victory on Sunday afternoon to close out the first week of competition.

Their leaderboard breakdown is nearly identical with 210 Win Points and 128 Stat Points. Read has 23 saves, eight ground balls, and seven caused turnovers. McCool has earned her points across several stat categories: four goals, two assists, six ground balls, two caused turnovers, and 17 draw controls. 

The difference maker is MVP Points: McCool received 105 MVP Points this week (two MVP 1 selections, and one MVP 3), while Read earned 60 from two MVP 2 nods.

A Day to Remember

Sam Apuzzo put together one of the best performances of her AU Pro Lacrosse career on Sunday afternoon moving her 23 places up the leaderboard. 

She rose to fourth place after scoring four goals, including a pair of 2-point shots, and posted a career-high nine draw controls. Her team swept the 125 Win Points against Team Moreno in an 18-7 victory. Apuzzo also received MVP 1 honors for an additional 45 points, bringing her total to 256 points – one point shy of the single-game leaderboard points record.

Looking North

Charlotte North rose 36 places after Team Apuzzo’s victory on Sunday. She posted five goals with a career-high three assists and earned MVP 3 honors for 217 leaderboard points.

She enters Week Two in the No. 6 spot and leads the league with 12 goals this season.

Point-Worthy Moment

After a tied first quarter on Saturday, Ellie Masera scored a goal against Team Glynn with 12 seconds remaining in the second to earn members of Team Moreno +40 Win Points. Team Moreno swept all 125 win points, boosting its players up the leaderboard.
