Jordan Larson Closes Career with Final LOVB Nebraska Match
United States National Volleyball Team legend Jordan Larson announced her retirement following her final match with League One Volleyball Nebraska Sunday night, closing out her professional career in front of her home-state crowd.
Larson was a key contributor during the 2026 season. The 39-year-old outside hitter totaled 234 kills and 183 digs, finishing fifth in the league in kills and sixth overall in points during regular season play. She remained a steady six-rotation presence for Nebraska, contributing across the board while helping lead one of the league’s foundational teams.
Following the match, Larson addressed the Nebraska crowd.
“I didn’t know if it’ll ever hit me that this is coming to a close. The game is going to be so much more than just what you saw today. I’m just immensely grateful for you all to be here tonight, and hopefully we can continue to just evolve this sport and make it known that this is the next major league… Just thank you for everything.”

Larson’s foundation was built during her collegiate career at Nebraska, where she earned AVCA National Player of the Year honors in 2008 while leading the Cornhuskers to the NCAA Final Four. She was a four-time All-American and finished her career ranked among Nebraska’s all-time leaders in kills and digs.
