Brianna Turner to Join AU Pro Basketball for Season 5
Brianna Turner will bring her defensive prowess to Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball this winter, signing on to compete in Season 5. The 6-foot-3 forward-center is currently in the thick of the WNBA Playoffs with the Indiana Fever and will add to an already star-studded AU roster when the season tips off in Nashville.
Turner entered the WNBA in 2019 as the 11th overall pick in the first round, beginning her professional career with the Phoenix Mercury. She quickly made her mark as a defensive anchor, earning All-Rookie honors and helping Phoenix to multiple postseason runs. In 2020, she averaged 7.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game, earning All-WNBA Defensive First Team recognition. She repeated the honor in 2021. After four seasons with the Mercury, Turner joined the Chicago Sky in 2024 before signing with the Indiana Fever in 2025.
Before turning pro, Turner starred at Notre Dame, where she left one of the most decorated careers in program history. She finished as the school’s all-time leader in rebounds (1,048) and blocks (372) while also surpassing the 2,000-point mark. She is one of just two players in Irish history to record over 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.
Turner earned ACC Defensive Player of the Year three times and was a WBCA and USBWA All-American during her junior season. She played a key role in leading Notre Dame to the 2019 national championship game, capping a career that included 114 double-digit scoring games, 32 double-doubles, and a .624 career field goal percentage that was second-best in program history.
On the international stage, Turner was a consistent contributor for USA Basketball, winning four gold medals across the U17, U18, and U19 levels in both 5×5 and 3×3 play.
With her defensive instincts, shot-blocking ability, and championship pedigree, Turner will be a major addition to AU Pro Basketball’s fifth season.
AU Pro Basketball returns to Nashville, Tennessee, with elite talent and electrifying energy, for its fifth championship season on February 4, 2026, at Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium. Group and season ticket deposits for the upcoming season are available now.
