Bria Hartley drops 25 points for Connecticut as AU Athletes shine in WNBA Week 9
It had been nearly five years since Bria Hartley scored more than 24 points in a WNBA game, but that changed in Week 9 of the 2025 season.
Hartley posted her best performance since August 21, 2020, on Sunday, erupting for 25 points in a season-high 33 minutes with six assists, one rebound, and one steal. She had four 3-pointers and shot 7-for-17 from the field. Hartley led the Sun in an 88-92 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks.

Earlier in the week, Hartley delivered a pair of solid performances against Seattle, starting with 15 points on Wednesday in a much-needed win. She shot 4-of-8 from the field, 3-of-5 from long range, and was a perfect 4-for-4 at the free throw line. Her stat line also included five assists, three rebounds, and a steal, marking her second-highest scoring game of the season.
She added a 7-point performance in Friday’s rematch with a season-best five rebounds along with two assists while shooting 50% from the floor.
Elizabeth Williams – Chicago Sky
On July 8, Williams delivered her best offensive performance of the season with a 20-point outing against the Washington Mystics — her highest-scoring game since September 2023.
The veteran forward shot 9-of-17 from the field and grabbed seven rebounds, accounting for a major share of Chicago’s frontcourt production in the loss. She was second on the team in scoring, trailing only Angel Reese’s 22-point effort.
Williams followed it up with back-to-back 8-point performances in the Sky’s wins over the Dallas Wings and Minnesota Lynx.
She contributed eight points, five rebounds, and a season-high six assists against the Wings — her highest single-game assist total since August 2023. It marked the third time this season she’s reached double digits in scoring. Her strong efforts underscored her growing rhythm as a two-way contributor for Chicago.
Maya Caldwell – Atlanta Dream
Caldwell posted a season-high 12 points in Sunday’s loss to New York, hitting 5-of-8 shots in just 35 minutes. She also grabbed five rebounds and tallied a steal.
