Athletes Unlimited, Leveling the Playing Field partner on equipment drive

Athletes Unlimited has partnered with Leveling the Playing Field to collect new and gently used sports equipment that will be redistributed to young athletes.

Leveling the Playing Field (LPF) is a nonprofit that collects and redistributes equipment to expand access and equity within youth sports and recreation programs in under-resourced communities.

The partnership builds upon Athletes Unlimited’s commitment to expanding access to youth sports.

“Athletes Unlimited is thrilled to be partnering with Leveling the Playing Field to bring sports equipment to the next generation of athletes,” said Hilary Meyer, Senior Vice President of Impact at Athletes Unlimited. “We want to do all we can toward Leveling the Playing Field’s efforts toward outfitting kids who want to play sports with the equipment they need. This is an exciting community impact partnership that our fans and athletes can really get behind.”

“Leveling the Playing Field is incredibly excited to partner with Athletes Unlimited and incorporate equipment collection drives into the upcoming AU softball and lacrosse seasons,” said Kaitlin Brennan, Director of Operations at Leveling the Playing Field. “Athletes Unlimited is changing the landscape of women’s professional sports and expanding opportunities in the process. This partnership will help expand opportunities for girls in need to access sports and maybe even inspire the next generation of women’s professional athletes.”

Fans attending the 2023 AUX Softball or Championship seasons, or the 2023 Lacrosse season can bring new and gently used equipment to the stadium where there will be a collection bin. Those who donate will receive a voucher for two (2) complimentary tickets for a game of their choice during the 2023 AUX, Championship Softball or Lacrosse seasons. Vouchers are only available while supplies last and can be redeemed at the All About AU hub in the stadium.

At our lacrosse stadium, we welcome all equipment on this list.

At our softball stadium, we are focusing on softball/baseball: aluminum or wood bats, bags, bases (rubber & soft), baseballs, softballs, catchers gear, cleats, gloves (batting & fielding), helmets (5 years old or newer), pants, pitching and batting nets, tee-ball sets, umpire gear, wiffle balls and bats.
