Aerial Powers Signs with Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball for 2026
Aerial Powers is set to suit up for Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball for the first time this winter, where the 2019 WNBA Champion and former All-Rookie Team pick will look to build on a steady 2025 season.
Powers is coming off a 2025 campaign split between the Golden State Valkyries and the Indiana Fever. She averaged 16.7 minutes per game along with 7.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2 assists. That campaign followed a solid 2024 run with the Atlanta Dream, where she posted averages of 8.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game in 17.9 minutes of action per game.
Powers had a three-year stint with the Minnesota Lynx from 2021 to 2023. In 2023, she appeared in 20 games and returned from an ankle injury to score a season-best 20 points. She also put up strong numbers during the 2021 season in Minnesota while averaging 13.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists across 14 games. She closed that year with four 20-point outings in her final six appearances, including a career-high 27 points in the regular-season finale at Washington.
Her resume also includes productive stretches in Washington and Dallas. Powers was one of the Mystics’ top scoring options during their 2019 championship run, averaging 11.4 points per game in the regular season and 7.6 points in the playoffs. She reached double figures four times in that postseason and scored 15 points in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals. She followed that with 16.3 points per game for Washington in 2020 before an injury shortened her season.
Powers began her career with two strong back-to-back seasons in Dallas and earned WNBA All-Rookie Team honors in 2016. She averaged 10.4 points per game as a rookie and recorded her first career double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Internationally, Powers helped lead Team USA to gold at the 2015 World University Games. She averaged a team-high 18.0 points per game and closed the tournament with 27 points in the championship win over Canada.
Before starting her pro career, Powers put together a standout career at Michigan State. She graduated as the Spartans’ all-time leader in career double-doubles, a three-time First-Team All-Big Ten selection, and a former All-America honoree. She averaged 18.9 points and 9.8 rebounds across her MSU career and became the program’s all-time scoring leader as a junior.
Powers will now look to bring her scoring ability, physicality, and experience to AU in Nashville as she steps into her first season in the league this winter.
AU Pro Basketball returns to Nashville, Tennessee, with elite talent and electrifying energy, for its fifth championship season on February 4, 2026, at Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium. Tickets for the upcoming season are available now.
