Livy Rosenzweig
Biography
Personal: Rosenzweig was elevated to a full-time assistant coach for the Loyola Maryland women’s lacrosse team after spending the 2023 season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Greyhounds. She is the daughter of Margaret and Niall Rosenzweig, and has two siblings. Her sister, Gabby, played lacrosse at Penn and Duke, while her father played lacrosse and football at Ithaca College and her mother played basketball at Fordham University.
2023 Season: Rosenzweig accumulated 653 leaderboard points after joining Athletes Unlimited Pro Lacrosse roster on July 26 as an injury replacement. She was a three-time Game MVP selection and started in 7-of-9 games, tying for fifth in the circuit with seven assists and scoring 13 goals with seven assists. Rosenzweig netted at least one goal in 8-of-9 contests with three multi-goal performances and led the league with 46 draw controls despite playing just nine games. She earned MVP 1 recognition and a season-high 170 leaderboard points after breaking Athletes Unlimited single-game record with 13 draw controls against Team Apuzzo on August 12. Rosenzweig opened Week Four with four goals against Team Moreno to claim MVP 3 distinction and tallied eight draw controls, earning MVP 3 plaudits in her Athletes Unlimited debut against Team Apuzzo on July 27. She closed the season with two goals and two assists against Team Bosco.
2022 Season: Rosenzweig was one of the 15 players selected in the Athletes Unlimited Pro Lacrosse College Draft.
At Loyola Maryland: During her college career at Loyola Maryland, Rosenzweig was a five-year letter winner and started all 84 games from 2018 to 2022. She finished her career as the fourth-leading scorer in NCAA Division I history with 439 points and ranked third in NCAA history with 230 assists. Rosenzweig also held Loyola and Patriot League records for assists and points, as well as the Greyhounds' career draw controls record with 413. She was the fourth-leading scorer in Loyola Maryland history with 207 career goals and joined an exclusive group of players in NCAA Division I with 200 career goals and 200 career assists. Rosenzweig registered at least one point in 83 out of 84 career games and achieved 38 career hat tricks.
Rosenzweig received numerous accolades throughout her college career. She became the first men's or women's lacrosse player in Loyola Maryland history to amass 100 points in a season, accomplishing this feat three times. Rosenzweig also set Loyola single-season standards for assists and points. She received four IWLCA All-America honors, including First-Team recognition as a sophomore and Second-Team commendations twice. Rosenzweig was also recognized as an Inside Lacrosse All-American four times. She was named the Patriot League Attacker of the Year twice and was one of eight players in Patriot League history to earn First-Team All-Conference honors four times. In her freshman year, Rosenzweig was named the 2018 Patriot League Rookie of the Year.
In her senior year, Rosenzweig led the Patriot League in goals, assists, and points, earning her the second consecutive Patriot League Tournament MVP award. She ranked fifth in NCAA Division I in assists during the 2022 season. As a junior, Rosenzweig led Loyola in assists and ranked second on the team in draw controls. In 2021, she led the Greyhounds with 33 goals, 50 assists, 83 points, and 84 draw controls, setting Loyola career records for assists and points. Rosenzweig was recognized as Loyola's Senior Female Athlete of the Year in 2021-22.
