Personal: Currently, Read has spent the last four years as an assistant women's lacrosse coach at the University of Denver. She coached alongside former Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse player Molly Little during the 2022 campaign. She is the daughter of Denise and Don Read.
2022 Season: Read started in all 12 games during the second season of Athletes Unlimited. She placed fourth on the leaderboard with 1,394 points and was third in the league standings with 564 stat points. She tied for second in the circuit with 102 saves, including a season-high 13 stops against Team Apuzzo in Week One. She ended the season with 10 or more saves in three of the final four games, including 11 saves in the season finale against Team Moreno and 11 saves to begin Week Four against Team Johansen. She closed Week Three with a 10-save effort against Team Moreno.
2021 Season: Read collected 1,595 leaderboard points during the inaugural season of Athletes Unlimited. She tallied 515 stat points, which ranked third among all players in the league. She tied for the league lead with 10 games of 100 or more leaderboard points, including a season-high 191 points against Team Warden on August 1. She led all goalkeepers with 100 saves and 108 goals allowed. She recorded three games with 10 or more saves, including a league-high 16 stops against Team Glynn on August 14. She registered 11 saves to close Week Two against Team Warden on August 1 and also had 10 saves in the Week Three finale against Team Wood on August 8. She stopped nine shots against Team Wood on August 16. She collected 19 ground balls in 15 games, including a season-high three ground balls against Team Warden on August 1 and against Team Glynn on August 14.
International Experience: Read represented Team England at the 2022 World Lacrosse Women's World Championship. She was selected to the All-World Team and helped guide England to a Bronze medal. She started 7-of-8 games and registered a .441 save percentage. She stopped 13 shots against Australia in the Bronze Medal Game victory and also had 11 saves against Canada in pool play.
At Oregon: Read spent her senior season at the University of Oregon after playing three years at the University of Louisville. She served as a captain at Oregon and started all 18 games in goal. She set a school single-season record with 179 saves and led the Pac-12 Conference by averaging 9.94 saves per outing. She tallied double-digit saves in 10 contests at Oregon, including a season-high 17 stops against Colorado in the Pac-12 Tournament. She also set a single-game record with 10 ground balls against Vanderbilt. At Louisville, she made 42 appearances in three seasons and helped the Cardinals reach the NCAA Tournament three times. She held Louisville career records for save percentage (.516), saves (323), and wins. She also owned single-season marks for saves (194) and save percentage (.515) and was named the 2017 Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year.
