AU Pro Volleyball Impact Weeks
Impact Weeks are opportunities for Athletes Unlimited and its athletes to highlight a specific cause, national observance, community partner, or AU initiative through targeted weekly programming, athlete experiences, and game presentations both in-venue and throughout broadcast content and activations. Themes for impact weeks are driven and chosen by the Player Executive Committees of each sport.

2025 Impact Weeks Overview
Green Sports Day
AU Pro Volleyball Championship athletes chose Green Sports Day, a day when the global sustainable sports community comes together to leverage the power of sports to increase awareness and action on the most pressing environmental and social challenges. In 2023, with the data available to us, Athletes Unlimited became the first US-based sports league to achieve carbon neutrality. We remain so to this day!
Every year, Athletes Unlimited’s goal is to lower our per fan carbon footprint through operational changes to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. Athletes Unlimited is proud to partner with Taraflex for the volleyball court flooring. The court in tonight’s venue is made from an industry-leading 58% Bio & Recycled Content Materials. AU Pro Volleyball Championship is also partnering with Leveling the Playing Field (LPF) to reduce the amount of waste ending up in landfills. LPF takes fan-donated, gently used sports equipment and redistributes it to youth sports programs in underserved communities.
Every Story Counts
Chosen by our Player Executive Committee, Every Story Counts is a celebration of the rich diversity and unique cultures represented by our players. At a time when our differences are used as tools of divisiveness, this impact week is a reminder that the values and experiences that bond us are far greater than anything created to tear us apart.
In the AU Pro Volleyball Championship season, we have many players from other countries, and this Impact Week is a celebration of the bond our athletes share across different cultures, languages, and continents through this sport.
Athlete Causes
Athlete Causes was designed not only to allow athletes to support causes about which they’re passionate, but also to amplify their voices on those issues and support their engagement. At the end of each season, Athletes Unlimited, powered by Give Lively and the Give Lively Foundation, makes a grant equal to 100% of the athlete’s end-of-season win bonus to the non-profit of the athlete’s choice.
Our 2025 AU Pro Volleyball Championship athletes are supporting:
- Mental Health & Suicide Prevention

2024 Impact Weeks Overview
Our AU Pro Volleyball athletes celebrated Starlings, Athlete Causes, and Power in My Voice as their impact week themes. For Party at the Polls, AU partnered with When We All Vote to host a Party at the Polls event to encourage early voting and share helpful tips about voting in the 2024 election and co-hosted a pre-season clinic with Starlings to increase access to the sport.
2023 Impact Weeks Overview
Our AU Pro Volleyball athletes chose Starlings, Athlete Causes, and Moms in Sport as their 2023 impact weeks. Starlings was a collaboration with youth partner, Starlings, focused on widening the pool of participation within the sport among indigenous and Latinx communities; as part of this theme, our athletes co-hosted a pre-season clinic with Starlings where they served as coaches and mentors.
Moms in Sport aimed to amplify the voices of moms within the sport, with a specific focus on raising awareness around and advocating for Black maternal health; as part of this theme, we partnered with local Phoenix nonprofit, Our Mothers & Us, to host a conversation around maternal health within the U.S. and how they can advocate for better health outcomes for themselves and communities at large.
