Biography
Personal: Jaali Winters is the daughter of James and Kelly Winters. She has three siblings named Riley, Arin, and Trey. Jaali Winters majored in business intelligence and analytics at Creighton. She will be inducted into the Creighton Athletics Hall of Fame on October 16, 2025. Jaali Winters lists former Creighton head coach Kirsten Booth as someone who has made a difference in her life. She owns a cat named Yummy. Jaali Winters also played basketball in high school. She enjoys talking about finance and investing.
Other Professional Experience: Jaali Winters made her professional debut with Fachadas Dimurol Libby’s in Spain in 2018. She played for Saint-Raphael Var Volley-Ball in France from 2019-21. Jaali Winters joined RC Cannes for the 2021-22 campaign. She moved to Olympiacos in the Greek League for the 2022-23 season. Jaali Winters returned to France with Volley Mulhouse Alsace in 2023. She competed for Nebraska during the inaugural 2025 League One Volleyball season, totaling 105 kills with five blocks and 54 digs.
International Experience: Jaali Winters led Team USA to a Silver medal at the 2024 Pan American Cup. She also won a Gold medal at the 2025 NORCECA Final Six. Jaali Winters was a member of the 2017 Collegiate National Team.
At Creighton: Jaali Winters appeared in 494 sets over 139 matches with Creighton from 2015-18. She graduated with 80 school records. Jaali Winters was a four-time AVCA All-America selection who registered 1,843 career kills with 1,386 digs, 184 total blocks, and 101 service aces. She was a two-time choice as Creighton Athletics Female Athlete of the Year. Jaali Winters was named 2015 AVCA East Region Freshman of the Year. She is one of five student-athletes in Creighton history to earn four First-Team All-Conference certificates. Jaali Winters also stands as one of three players in program history with multiple Big East Tournament MVP awards. She was a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-America® honoree who helped Creighton to four Big East Tournament titles and a 77-3 record against league opponents. Jaali Winters is one of three players in program history to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. She played in 118 sets over 34 matches as a senior in 2018. Jaali Winters was an AVCA Third-Team All-America First-Team All-East Region performer. She was honored as Big East Player of the Year and Big East Tournament MVP after earning three Big East Player of the Week awards in addition to a PrepVolleyball Non-Power 5 National Player of the Week citation. Jaali Winters was a First-Team All-Big East pick who registered 451 kills with 49 total blocks, 361 digs, and 25 service aces. She registered 10 or more kills in 26 matches. Jaali Winters posted 16 double-doubles, including a season-high 26 digs to pair with 15 kills against Iowa State. She saw action in all 118 sets over 33 matches as a junior in 2017. Jaali Winters finished with 398 kills, 22 service aces, 332 digs, and 44 total blocks, including five solo rejections. She led Bluejays by averaging 3.37 kills per set and ranked second with a 2.81 dig-per-set average. Jaali Winters garnered VolleyMob and PrepVolleyball All-America Honorable Mention status. She earned AVCA East Region Player of the Year and First-Team All-East Region plaudits. Jaali Winters was a two-time choice as Big East Offensive Player of the Week who received First-Team All-Big East laurels. She became the second-quickest player in program history to record 1,000 career kills after reaching the mark in 72 matches. Jaali Winters was named Creighton’s Carl M. Reinert, S.J., Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year in addition to receiving the Big East Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Award for volleyball. She started all 36 matches for the Bluejays in 2016. Jaali Winters led the team with 3.61 kills per set and ranked second on the squad with 2.90 digs per set and 0.29 service aces per set. Jaali Winters was an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention performer who led all Big East outside hitters in digs per set. She earned Second-Team All-America status from Volleyball Magazine in addition to Third-Team All-America distinction from PrepVolleyball. Jaali Winters was named First-Team All-Big East in addition to securing Big East Tournament MVP accolades. She put down a season-high 24 kills with 12 digs and four blocks against Northern Iowa in the NCAA Tournament. Jaali Winters helped guide Creighton to its first NCAA quarterfinal appearance with 21 kills and 25 digs against Michigan. She guided the team with 11 kills and eight digs in the NCAA quarterfinal against Texas. Jaali Winters appeared in 134 sets over 36 matches as a freshman in 2015. She set a Creighton single-season record with 546 kills while contributing 18 service aces, 333 digs, and 59 total blocks. Jaali Winters was named to PrepVolleyball’s Freshman All-America Team. She earned AVCA East Region Freshman of the Year honors along with First-Team All-Big East notice. Jaali Winters is one of three freshmen to earn AVCA All-America honors after being named to the Third Team. She was a unanimous selection as 2015 Big East Freshman of the Year. Jaali Winters ranked 10th in the nation in kills, including the second-best mark among freshmen. She was a six-time choice as Big East Freshman of the Week. Jaali Winters became the first Creighton rookie with 400 or more kills. She led all players with 18 kills in the Big East Championship final against Villanova. Jaali Winters helped Creighton to their first NCAA Round of 16 berth with 21 kills and 21 digs against North Carolina. She led the Bluejays with 16 double-doubles.
