Mark Litos is Co-owner of Refried Apparel, a sustainable apparel brand and solutions provider. Refried Apparel is a pioneer in the upcycle fashion movement and is deeply committed to keeping textile waste out of landfills and incinerators by extending the life of usable material in responsible and fashionable ways.
In his role at Refried Apparel, Mark creates unique collaborations and partnerships with eco-minded brands, retailers, and organizations seeking innovative alternatives to clothing waste. These custom-built programs help companies achieve CSR and ESG goals by preserving natural resources through sustainable practices and circular methods.
Refried Apparel works in licensed and non-licensed goods and is changing the way companies deal with dead-stock/excess inventory. Prior to his work in the apparel industry, Mark was Founder and President of Litos Strategic Communications (LSC). For nearly three decades, LSC held a national reputation for creating innovative marketing programs and brand strategies for clients across a wide range of industries with a strong focus on energy and sustainability. Mark has led highly successful campaigns in virtually every sector of energy, including demand response, electric transmission, clean/green tech, natural gas, and renewables. Mark served as an advisor to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Smart Grid Task Force on stakeholder and consumer engagement and served as the outreach agent for DOE’s Smart Grid initiative focused on the transformation of our Nation’s electric power grid.
Mark resides with his wife and two children in Massachusetts. Mark’s wife, Lisa, is the Founder and President of Refried Apparel.
