Biography
Personal: Saile's hobbies include reading, fishing, and listening to true crime podcasts. As a kid, she participated in gymnastics and karate.
2023 AUX Season: Saile accumulated 618 leaderboard points in the second Athletes Unlimited campaign. She made four appearances in the circle, including one start against Team Mulipola on June 14. Saile recorded two strikeouts over 4.0 innings pitched. Her longest outing of the season was on June 19 against Team Leach, where she threw a season-high 2.1 innings and achieved one strikeout.
2022 Championship Season: Saile made her debut and compiled 898 leaderboard points. She had nine appearances in the circle, including four starts, and registered five strikeouts over 19.0 innings. In Week Four, Saile combined with Taylor McQuillin to record a shutout against Team McCleney, throwing a season-high 3.0 hitless innings with a strikeout in a 3-0 victory. On August 13, Saile made her first start of the campaign against Team Mulipola, posting two strikeouts over a season-high 3.1 innings.
At Oklahoma: Saile played three seasons at Oklahoma after beginning her career with two years at Florida International. Throughout her career, she fashioned a 1.62 earned run average with a 71-27 record and 16 saves. She appeared in 149 career games with 93 starts, tallied 14 shutouts and 54 complete games, and struck out 854 hitters over 638.1 innings. During the 2020 COVID-shortened season, Saile ranked second in the nation with five saves. Over her three-year career at Oklahoma, she pitched in 80 games, authored a 1.49 earned run average, and had a 35-5 record. Saile finished her OU career ranked second in program history with 11 saves and held opposing hitters to a .172 average, the sixth-highest mark in Sooner annals. She teamed up with Olivia Rains and Giselle Juarez to throw a no-hitter against New Mexico on February 26, 2021. Saile also pitched in a perfect game during Oklahoma’s 2019 NCAA Regional opener against UMBC. She was a two-time All-Big 12 Conference selection, including First Team recognition as a fifth-year senior, and also garnered Second-Team All-Big 12 distinction in 2019. Saile was a two-time First-Team All-Conference USA pick at Florida International and earned Conference USA Freshman of the Year recognition in 2017. During her freshman year, she accumulated a 19-11 record with a 1.51 earned run average in 208.1 innings. She also posted a 17-11 mark during her sophomore campaign with a 1.93 earned run average and 267 strikeouts in 181 innings.
