Back from concussion, Isabelle Harrison posts season-high for Liberty
With the WNBA playoffs approaching, every matchup is critical. Teams are jockeying for positions in both conferences, and injuries have forced several squads to rely on unexpected contributors. This week saw some standout performances from a few familiar faces from Athletes Unlimited who stepped up in high-pressure moments and helped their teams stay in contention.
Isabelle Harrison, Odyssey Sims, and Kia Nurse all showcased themselves on the court this week. Harrison returned from concussion protocol to spark the Liberty, Sims provided a scoring boost for the injury-hit Fever, and Nurse maximized her opportunities off the bench for Chicago.
Isabelle Harrison – New York Liberty
Coming off concussion protocol, Harrison wasted no time finding her rhythm. The Liberty forward jumped straight into the action Thursday against Washington, collecting a season-high 16 points (6-13 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in just 20 minutes. She also added five rebounds, two assists, and a steal, proving she could fill the void left by multiple injured starters.
Harrison’s performance marked her first game in double figures since July 30, and the most minutes she’s logged since June 21. With Jonquel Jones sidelined due to illness, Natasha Cloud recovering from a nose injury, Sabrina Ionescu limited by a toe issue, and Nyara Sabally out with a knee concern, Harrison’s impact couldn’t have come at a better time. Her aggressive offensive play helped the Liberty cruise to an 89-63 victory over the Mystics, keeping New York in a strong position at 5th overall and 2nd in the Eastern Conference.

It was a statement night for Harrison, who looked sharp immediately off the bench. Her scoring, efficiency, and confidence in this comeback game send a clear message: she’s ready to pick up where she left off and shoulder responsibility for the Liberty down the stretch.
Odyssey Sims – Indiana Fever
Odyssey Sims continues to show why she’s a perfect fit for the injury-hit Fever. After agreeing to a rest-of-season contract, Sims helped Indiana to back-to-back wins last week. Wednesday’s narrow 76-75 victory over the Sparks featured 21 points, six rebounds, three assists, and a steal, with Sims shooting 50% from the floor.
Since joining the Fever, Odyssey is averaging 11.4 points per game and has posted four double-figure performances in eight outings. Her energy and veteran savvy have been key in keeping Indiana competitive in the Eastern Conference, where the team now sits 7th overall and 3rd in the East.

Kia Nurse – Chicago Sky
Kia Nurse continues to make the most of a bench role with the Sky, contributing 17 points (6-8 FG, 5-7 3Pt), one rebound, four assists, and two steals in Thursday’s 83-79 loss to Phoenix. Despite limited minutes, Nurse has scored in double figures three times in her last five games while shooting 48.5% from the field and 50% from three. Even in a challenging season for Chicago, she’s finding ways to make an impact and maintain her scoring presence.
