Storm Trade Three-Time WNBA Champion Alysha Clark to Mystics
Three-time WNBA champion Alysha Clark is heading to the nation’s capital. On Tuesday, the Seattle Storm announced that the veteran forward was included in a trade transaction that sends Clark to the Mystics along with Zia Cooke and Seattle’s first-round 2026 draft pick in return for Brittney Sykes.
Clark has made 27 appearances and 7 starts for Seattle this season, averaging 18 minutes, 3.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1 assist per game. Seattle currently sits sixth in the league, while Clark will now help boost the ninth-ranked Mystics.
Clark’s WNBA journey spans over a decade. The 38-year-old forward has captured three WNBA championships – two with Seattle and one with Las Vegas. Her first stint with the Storm spanned from 2012 to 2020, where she averaged 10 points per game in the team’s championship-winning 2020 campaign before moving to the Washington Mystics.

After signing with Washington in 2021, Clark missed that season due to injury before joining the Las Vegas Aces in 2023. In Vegas, she played a pivotal role in the squad’s championship-winning season, averaging 6.7 points per game and earning WNBA Sixth Player of the Year honors.
Clark is a two-time All-Defensive Team selection and brings extensive international experience, having played in France, Turkey, Poland, and Israel, where she has represented the Israeli national team. The American-Israeli star returned to Seattle in February after participating in Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball in Nashville.
The trade sends Clark back to Washington, where she previously signed but was unable to play due to injury. Her championship experience and veteran leadership will be valuable assets for a Mystics team looking to improve their standing.
