SPARKS, Md. — Attacker Sam Apuzzo’s squads have been able to pull out come-from-behind wins on several occasions in her two seasons as an Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse captain. However, the team didn’t have to deal with a record-setting and dominating performance like the one from attacker Livy Rosenzweig on Saturday afternoon.

The rookie registered an Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse single-game record 13 draw controls in addition to scoring a goal with an assist as Team Glynn held off Team Apuzzo for a 7-5 victory in the first game of the doubleheader at USA Lacrosse Headquarters.

The win evened Team Glynn’s record at 1-1 in the final week of the season, while Team Apuzzo dropped to an identical 1-1 mark.

Rosenzweig, who eclipsed the previous mark of 10 draw controls, earned MVP 1 honors with her record-setting performance after accounting for all of Team Glynn’s draw controls and collecting 170 leaderboard points.

Goalkeeper Kady Glynn secured MVP 3 distinction after notching 10 saves, including eight in the second half, while allowing just five goals. The former Loyola Maryland standout also grabbed three ground balls to finish with 176 leaderboard points.
