Trailing 5-2 heading into the half, Team Arsenault outscored Team Warden 6-2 in 16 minutes to complete an 8-7 comeback victory. Team Warden took home 40 points for their two quarter wins prior to halftime, while Team Arsenault earned 85 points (two quarter wins + game win).

Kylie Ohlmiller scored five goals on the evening, while team captain Dempsey Arsenault netted the game-winning goal in the fourth. Ohlmiller tallied 68 individual stat points in addition to her win points and was named MVP 1 (+45) for 198 points overall.

Here’s how things went down in another close game to cap off day one of Week 2:

A back-and-forth first quarter was broken by a 2-point goal (+16) from Nicole Levy, winning her team 20 points as they went on to win the quarter 4-2.

The defense for both teams held things down in the 2nd quarter. Team Arsenault goalie Caylee Waters allowed only one goal to Team Warden’s Sam Apuzzo, while Hill allowed none. Both sides of the field made key defensive plays to keep the scoring to a minimum heading into the half.

Entering the second half, Warden and her squad led 5-2. Ohlmiller scored her second goal of the game to put a stop to a 15 minute scoring drought by Team Arsenault, marking the beginning of her own scoring run. As Team Warden entered a scoring drought of their own, the duo of Ohlmiller and McCool linked up to score as McCool fed the ball to Ohlmiller, who put it past Hill on back-to-back goals.

Tied 5-5, Ally Kennedy put Team Warden back in front with 1:19 left in the third, but Lindsey McKone quickly answered with a bounce shot to tie things up again at six heading to the fourth.

Goals from Ohlmiller and Apuzzo tied things up once again in the fourth, but Arsenault sealed the deal for her team, scoring the game-winning goal to defeat Team Warden 8-7 and complete the comeback.

Waters was named MVP 2 (+30) for her play in goal, making five saves. She accumulated 135 points on the night. Defender Meg Douty earned MVP 3 honors (+15) and had 106 points.

For Team Warden, Hill made eight saves and had 36 stat points for 76 total.
