Kayana Traylor Set for AU Pro Basketball Debut in 2026
Kayana Traylor is set to make her Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball debut this winter, giving the 2026 roster another guard with proven playmaking ability and international experience. Traylor is coming off a strong stretch overseas and will arrive in Nashville with momentum from action in Europe and Africa.
Traylor just finished competing with Rwanda Energy Group (REG) during the 2025 FIBA Africa Zone 5 Club Championship qualifiers and was one of the team’s most reliable scorers. She posted 18 points in the semifinals on November 14 and added 17 in the final. Through REG’s playoff run, she averaged 12 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. She also owns top-30 marks in assists and top-35 in scoring in the competition.
Her 2024-2025 EuroCup Women season with Bodrum Basketbol was another standout run. She averaged 15.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists over five games. Those numbers placed her 38th in scoring.
Traylor spent the 2023-24 season with Charnay Bourgogne Sud in France and logged some of her most consistent minutes. She averaged 11.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists while playing nearly 30 minutes per game.
Traylor’s professional career began after she was selected 23rd overall by the Chicago Sky in the 2023 WNBA Draft. She went on to sign with the Minnesota Lynx and appeared in eight games during the 2023 season before continuing to build her game overseas.
Before starting her pro career, Traylor was a major contributor at both Purdue and Virginia Tech. She scored more than 1,000 career points at the collegiate level and earned multiple academic honors. Her final season with the Hokies included 11.0 points per game, 17 double-figure scoring outings, and a 25-point performance versus UVA. She also recorded her first career double-double that season with 11 points and 10 rebounds. At Purdue, she averaged 8.8 points and 3.5 assists. She finished her career with 311 assists, which ranks 17th in program history.
Traylor has consistently shown her ability to run an offense and score in high-pressure competitions, and now she’ll bring that skill set to Athletes Unlimited for the first time this winter.
AU Pro Basketball returns to Nashville, Tennessee, with elite talent and electrifying energy, for its fifth championship season on February 4, 2026, at Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium. Tickets for the upcoming season are available now.
