Jacy Sheldon Joins Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball Season 5
The talent pool for Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball Season 5 just got even deeper. WNBA guard Jacy Sheldon is heading to Nashville this winter, bringing two seasons of professional experience and a proven track record of elite-level play to the roster.
Sheldon is currently in the midst of her sophomore season in the WNBA, having been selected fifth overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Dallas Wings before being traded to the Connecticut Sun in February 2025. Her addition to AU bolsters the younger talent who will mix in among the veterans on the court in Nashville.
The Ohio State product’s WNBA journey began in Dallas, where she quickly adapted to the professional game’s pace and physicality.
Dallas Wings Stats
During her 2024 rookie season with Dallas, Sheldon appeared in 40 regular-season games with 26 starts, averaging 5.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Her best performances included a career-high 17 points against Atlanta on July 5, eight assists versus Los Angeles on August 25, and six rebounds against Washington on June 23.
She also recorded three steals on two separate occasions against Indiana, demonstrating the defensive intensity that made her a standout at the college level.
Connecticut Sun Stats
Following her trade to Connecticut, Sheldon’s role expanded significantly in 2025. She has appeared in 27 games with 17 starts, averaging 24.3 minutes per game while contributing 7.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. The increased playing time has allowed her to showcase the complete skill set that made her a top-five draft selection.
At Ohio State
Sheldon’s professional success builds on a strong five-season career at Ohio State University from 2019 to 2024. She earned Second-team All-American honors from both the Associated Press and USBWA in 2024, along with two First-team All-Big Ten selections (2022, 2024) and two Big Ten All-Defensive Team honors (2022, 2024).
She averaged 15.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.9 steals per game over 130 career contests. She finished her Ohio State career ranking sixth all-time in scoring (2,009 points), eighth in three-point field goals made (187), and sixth in steals (247). Notably, she became one of only three players in program history to record at least 1,900 points, 400 rebounds, 350 assists, 200 steals, and 150 made three-pointers.
Sheldon has proved herself to be one of the top rising stars in the WNBA, and this winter, she will get the chance to put her skills to a different test in AU’s format.
