Three Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball athletes have been named to the U.S. Women’s National Team’s 30-player roster for the 2025 Volleyball Nations League (VNL): libero Morgan Hentz and middle blockers Molly McCage and Serena Gray.

Hentz is one of four liberos selected and remains in the midst of a playoff run in the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF), where she was just named Libero of the Year for the second consecutive season. She has been a dominant defensive force since debuting in Athletes Unlimited in 2022, earning three Defensive Player of the Year honors. Hentz holds the AU records for most digs in a single season (242) and in a match (25). This marks another VNL roster appearance for the former Stanford standout.

McCage, a middle blocker from Spring, Texas, recently helped her Austin, Texas, team capture the inaugural League One Volleyball (LOVB) title. She’s a three-time AVCA All-American and a 2012 NCAA champion with Texas. McCage has played professionally since 2016, including three seasons in Germany, where she was twice named Best Blocker, and four in Athletes Unlimited. She’s also earned gold medals with Team USA at the 2017 and 2018 Pan American Cups.

Gray, who just wrapped up her LOVB season with Salt Lake, will debut in the AU Pro Volleyball Championship this fall. A former standout at Penn State and Pitt, Gray has already collected international medals with Team USA, including gold at the 2023 NORCECA Pan Am Cup Final Six and bronze at the 2023 Pan Am Cup.

The U.S. will compete in three rounds of preliminary VNL play, with fourteen players to be selected from the 30-player roster to compete at each stop. Dates and locations for each round include June 4–8 in Rio de Janeiro, June 18–22 in Belgrade, and July 9–13 in Arlington, before the Final Round in Łódź, Poland.
