Florida's Skylar Wallace signs for 2024 AU Pro Softball Season
Wallace was selected in the 2024 AU Pro Softball College Draft and was a three-year letter winner for the Florida Gators. She is the program’s career record holder in batting average, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage.
She was the 2023 SEC Player of the Year and NFCA Division 1 Player of the Year. Wallace is the first Florida player in program history to earn NFCA Player of the Year honors and broke multiple records in her award-winning season. Wallace set the UF single-season records in batting average (.447), slugging percentage (.980), and on-base percentage (.595). Those stats also ranked nationally, including slugging percentage (1st), on-base percentage (4th), triples (2nd), and runs per game (3rd).
In her junior season, Wallace put together historic numbers as the only known player in NCAA DI history to post at least 70 hits, 70 runs, 50 RBIs, and 50 stolen bases in a single season. Before Florida, she spent two years playing for Alabama.
She closed out her senior season with a run to the Women’s College World Series semifinals with the Gators. She recorded a .392 batting average and a .758 slugging percentage with 14 home runs and a .964 fielding percentage in 2024.
Wallace competed with Team USA in the 2024 Japan All-Star Series where she started all three games at shortstop and batted in the leadoff position. She was 6-for-9 with two home runs, a double, and two stolen bases.
