AU Pro Volleyball Season 4 Draft Results: Meet the Week 5 Teams

Opposite Brittany Abercrombie enters the final week of the season as the Gold team captain after closing Week Four with 3,670 leaderboard points. The former USC standout has held the league’s top spot on the leaderboard after each of the last seven match days and owns a league-best 11-1 record, including an 8-1 mark as a team leader.

Outside hitter Bethania De La Cruz-Mejía remains in the captain’s chair for the Orange squad and begins her 15th career stint as a team leader, including her fifth this season. De La Cruz-Mejía, the 2022 AU Pro Volleyball titleist, has tallied 10 victories as a captain this season, marking the third time in league history a captain has won 10 or more fixtures in a single campaign.

Outside hitter Madi Kingdon Rishel used an outstanding individual effort in Week Four to vault up the leaderboard into third place and claim her first career stint as a team captain. The first-year AU Pro Volleyball player led the league last week with 51 kills, including a pair of 20-kill efforts, while adding 23 digs and five solo blocks.

Outside hitter Dani Drews returns to the captain’s seat for the final weekly segment of the season after accumulating a league-high 885 leaderboard points in Week Four. Drews, who also served as a team captain in Week Three, is tied for sixth in the league with 121 kills.
