AU Pro Softball signs Arizona's Allie Skaggs for 2024 Championship Season
Skaggs was a three-year starter for the Wildcats, playing most of her career at second base. She has a .973 career fielding percentage and earned the Rawlings Gold Glove Award and Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2023 after committing zero errors in 168 chances for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
In her 201 games played at Arizona, she recorded a .328 career batting average, .436 on-base percentage, and .698 slugging percentage. Her 57 career home runs rank 13th in program history and she tied the Wildcats’ single-game record with three home runs vs. the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) in 2022. Skaggs hit seven grand slams during her career; two her sophomore season, four her junior year, and one her senior year.
Skaggs paced her team with 14 home runs, which ranked sixth in the Pac-12, in her senior season. She tallied 13 multiple-hit games earning her NFCA All-West First Team honors, First Team All-Pac-12 honors, and selection to the D1 Softball All-American First Team.
