Personal: Angel Jackson is the daughter of Barbara Johnson and has four brothers. She was born in Richmond, California.

At Jackson State: Angel Jackson was a three-year letter winner at Southern California before finishing her career at Jackson State. She appeared in 130 total games from 2019-2024 with 78 starts and scored 1,047 career points with 723 rebounds. She also collected 258 blocks in five seasons. At Jackson State, she started in 59 of 64 games over two seasons.
As a two-time SWAC Defensive Player of the Year honoree, Jackson averaged 9.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game with the Tigers. She ranked 15th in NCAA Division I by averaging 2.0 blocks per game during the 2023-2024 campaign. She also contributed 10.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per outing and scored a season-high 20 points against Mississippi State on December 14, 2023. She ended the season with nine double-digit scoring efforts in the final 11 games. During the 2022-2023 season, she earned a starting assignment in 26 of 31 contests. She scored 9.2 points per game while adding 7.1 rebounds per contest and netted 20 points against Texas Southern on February 25, 2023, making 7 of 12 shots from the field in addition to a 6-of-7 performance from the free-throw line.
Jackson saw action in 66 games over three seasons at USC, including 19 starts. She totaled 433 points with the Women of Troy while posting a 4.2 rebound average. She played 16 games as a junior with four starts, chipping in 4.4 points and 3.0 rebounds per game while also notching 15 blocked shots.
